  • At first open a Notepad.
  • Then copy below contents on Notepad and save as Show Desktop.scf

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

  • Then drag the file to the Quick Launch bar.

  • Now you can restore show Desktop icon.

Or you can also choose an alternative way

Click Start >> Click Run and type regsvr32 /n /i:U shell32.dll and Enter
