Resolve Windows 7 Activation Status Not Available or SLMgr 0×80070422 Error

If you want fully featured version of Windows 7 you must activate windows 7. Windows 7 shows the system activation status in System Properties. During Windows 7 activation, it’s displaying windows 7 activation status not available, product id not available or SLMgr 0×80070422 Error. The system activation status accessed via Control Panel -> System and Security -> System. Sometimes Windows activation may display error message which saying activation status not available and product ID not available. You can see an error code SLMgr 0×80070422.

On running slui.exe 0×2a0×80070422, you can see the following error message :

Error 0×80070422: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.


The above error can affect Windows 7 from activate properly. This error happens due to (sppsvc.exe) Software Protection service, which enables the download, installation and enforcement of digital licenses for Windows and Windows applications, is disabled or prevented from running. If you have used Windows 7 clean install upgrade media to crack Windows 7 activation it shows that service.

To shut out this problem, you must turn on software protection feature and set it’s startup type to Automatic (Delayed Start) and the error should get fixed now.
